Reed, with future SCOTUS member Ruth Bader Ginsburg; serving in faculty or administrative positions at the Ghana School of Law, Benedict College, and Brandeis University; becoming an Episcopal priest in 1977 the first year women were allowed to be ordained; publishing many books of poetry; and becoming venerated as a Saint of the Episcopal Church in 2012.
